Our CEO, Richard Nizielski, is a true sports pioneer. He was Australia's first Winter Olympic medal winner, a former national coach for short track speed skating, and asuccessful golf conditioning coach. With a Honors degree in Exercise Science and Human Movement, Richard brings a unique perspective and wealth of experience to the team.
Clint Jensen, who has a mechanical background and years of experience in the orthotic and footwear industry. As the former owner of RBC Sport, Clint developed and innovated custom footwear for world and Olympic champions, helping athletes break world records and win Olympic gold medals.
Jakob is a talented young engineer and recent graduate from the Sunshine Coasts Digital Hub's Cadet Program. Jakob impressed us as a year 9 student when he came to the Hub with a fully actuated prosthetic arm he had modelled, 3D printed, assembled, and programmed. He is a talented rower at elite school level, and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the team.
3D Able was born out of necessity during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020. Richard and Clint’s passion for technology and drive to push the boundaries of what is possible led to the creation of custom cycling shoes using 3D printing technology. The success of this project sparked a realization of the potential of 3D printing and design in sports and industry. Their expertise in the world of sports technology began with Richard, a former golf strength and conditioning coach, and Australia’s first Winter Olympic medallist. Together with Clint, a former team member and innovator of custom footwear, the duo set out to revolutionize the industry.
As 3D Able began to find its feet, we realized that offering 3D printing, CAD design, and 3D scanning would help the company establish itself as a leading provider of cutting-edge technology solutions across a range of industries.
